Tip For Tables

I created a general table, and tried the Ctrl c and Ctrl v method, which failed to copy the table to another sheet. Note there are no links to properties in this table.

After scratching my head for a while, I found that by saving the table as a template, I was able to insert the said table into a new drawing!

This has saved, a lot of work, so I am happy! :-)

Good one. I wonder why copy & paste doesn't work... You'd think that would be one of the first things implemented or inherited from a parent class.

So, cut-and-paste works between drawings, but not between sheets on a single drawing?

This one caused a lot of headaches in our group as well. The trick I found was to click on the general table in the drawing feature tree and not on the table itself in the drawing. Once the " feature tree" table item is highlighted, you can then ctrl-c then ctrl-v to paste the table on the sheet.
