Could anyone suggest a site that has information concerning Elesco feedwater heaters? I am planning on adding one to a model and have not been able to find much reference information. Thanks Barry snipped-for-privacy@sbcglobal.net

The Elesco feedwater heater is a closed tube heater and conains the heater and a pump. Exhaust steam goes to the heater as well as pressurized water where the two interchange heat and the exhaust goes out as water and steam, as resulting from the heat transfer. Inspecting the plumbing of several different locos that have the same type of heater will show the external plumbing needed for the system.
