Had a very nice day out today at Amberley. Didnt seam quite as many engines this time, but some I have not seen before. As always, lots to do other than the stationary engines. I think Amberly museum is a really interesting place, make sure you all go!

The size of hole in the hopper and position of the spark plug makes me think that they are two different engines Chris.

As one of the themed makes was Hartop, I don't think the numbers were down, it was just that there were a lot of small power engines around the place! The S type behaved itself very well, the weather was beautiful, and all in all, it was a most excellent day out. A consortium of engine men even managed to get the museums own Blackstone running, after a spot of attention to the air inlet valve.

Good point, the less busy look was probably nothing more than that. One thing you never get at Amberley are gaps in the line up and this year was no exception.
Now how about running the large Tange outside?! Next years challange maybe ?

Thanks Chris, great photos - missed my annual pilgrimage to Amberley due to a trip up North to see t'owd folk.
Just one correction - the open crank Crossley in the pump shed is a PH
