Hi,

I took these pictures of engines a while ago at rallies, but I have since forgotten the makers of them. Can anyone help???

Unknown 1 looks like a Nelson Brothers engine. No.2 is an IHC 1hp Famous. Sorry I cannot help with the third one.

Worth checking in A-Z, but No.3 is saying Barker to me.

No 1 looks like a Fuller & Johnson NC. I agree with no 2 being the watercooled variety of a "Tom Thumb" Famous. "I used to own the air cooled variety)

Do you remember which rallies they were taken at? No.3 looks like Lister/Tyndale so anyone who was there could look up the Rally Program.

I think they were all taken at the West of England Steam Engine Socity rally, at St Agnes, Cornwall. I had looked at the program, but the engines listed were not the ones I had photographed.

Many Thanks

Andy

Hmm. Not much like any of the Barker engines illustrated there, but I'm sure I've seen that distinctive sideshaft bracket somewhere before - how frustrating!
