I's Entone time again!

It's a bit like Christmas, waiting for a favourite event to come around again. Anyway its only a few days to go to Saturday 13th November at Enstone. Dress up warm it is an old flat airfield and nothing is in the way to stop the wind. That said, excellent parking (runway) and only £2 to get in.

See some of you there I hope

Regards to you all Ian

A few questions:

What time should I show up, if I can get time?

How long does the whole thing go on for?

It starts about 0800 - 0900 ish and seems to run until after lunch 1300 -

1400 or so. officially the gates don't open until 0800, so I am told - but I've not been there that early and have found more bargains than I can afford by arriving after 0900.

If you come and are a good boy I'll get one of my spirit stoves going and make you a cuppa, I'm sure you will find time for that :-))

That's very civil of you Mr. P! If I get down, I'll be sure to look you up.

I'm not so sure about this "good boy" stuff, though ;-).

Enstone Airfield

Leave M5 at J 11A.

Junction of A417/A429, TL Bourton on the Water.

A429 to Stow on the Wold. TR A436

Junction A436/A44, TR A44 - Chipping Norton.

by-pass Chipping Norton continuing on the A44.

2.9 miles after the traffic lights to the east of Chipping Norton, you enter the 30mph limit signifying the start of Enstone village.

300m after the 30 limit signs turn left, signposted Church Enstone and Bicester.

Continue round the back of Enstone village, through Church Enstone, across the B4022/B4030 junction.

The entrance to the airfield is 0.75 mile on your left from this point.

I'll be there, even if it is Hazel's birthday. ;o))
