Thanks for the intelligent comments! Really makes it worthwhile taking the trouble to inform on items..........we in the EX-colonies have better manners than that. I did think of making a 1924 Beyer Peacock builders plate available to UK collectors.......thanks for helping me make up my mind to keep it in OZ.

Some of us get really fed up with seeing messages advertising goods for sale on ebay from people who never post on this newsgroup apart from advertising goods for sale on ebay. As far as I am concerned, you can take your 1924 Bassett-Lowke catalogue and hang it on a nail in the dunny.

By the way, please don't top-post; it shows you are a clueless newbie who has yet to grasp the intricacies of netiquette.

Have a nice day.

So do I. Do you have a problem with that?

I certainly don't - it's served me well for five years, and backed up with good AV software and a good firewall has not proved vulnerable in any way to viruses or trojans.

Guess there's a lot of IT snobbery out there.

But I do post other things on here.......I ask questions about UK railways, and there are actually some nice people on this group who do assist in the proper manner. I thank them. In my experience, I find that people who hide behind computers, really are appendage challenged, and really need to get out in the sunlight sometime....there is a real world out here. I'll be back in the UK in '06, if you would like to meet me face to face, please forward on your private address..I'd love to meet you. Opps, sorry, I have top-posted again, on my Outlook Express too!

John T you are one of nature's gentlemen.

Or you could use a newsreader that doesn't need all these extra add-ons to do what it should be doing in the first place, and doesn't add extra blank lines and pointless attributions when replying to a post.

I've never understood the point of cricket.

Never any good at cricket and stopped rugby in my forties when I found I couldn't even keep up with the hooker. IT snobbery is very relaxing...in a darkened room...
