Anyone guilt any of their BR standard Mk 1 kits, more particularly, the Mk1 based Pullman cars (ie. Hadrian Bar etc.). How do you rate them as kits and how well do they build [1] ?
[1] or how well do the side packs work in the conversion of RTR Mk1's ?

I enjoyed building the couple I've done. Mk1 corridor brake, and a corridor coach in blood & custard.
Thought they went together quite sensibly, and kept me happy for several weekends. I built everything in the kits - underframes, bogies, bodies, interiors, etc. Bogies done with scalefour wheelsets. I ought to redo the bogies with springing.
Only problem was needing to find a bigger soldering iron for some things, but that's because I usually work in 2mm scale, and the huge 4mm stuff has
8* the volume and 8* the heat capacity.
No idea.
