From his/her point of view though, he must be laughing all the way to the bank. If there are people out there who will bid £100 for a Lima

3-car class 117 unit then perhaps I should pack up my day job, and open an Ebay shop. I would have thought that his/her "junk mail" style of describing an item would have sounded warning alarms in everyone's brains, but obviously not.

Copy of email sent to seller... won't get me anywhere at all but I certainly feel better :-))

"Not really a rare item considering Hattons have recently had them for sale for 52 GBP... in fact, they may well still have them for sale. I am seriously considering a report to eBay regarding this item (some of your others are pretty suspect too), but hey, if people are daft enough to pay the money..."

I wish I could leave some negative feedback - trouble is, it would require me to have to buy something from him in the first place!

Obviously how? Check the link, he hasn't got any bids yet! And the Lima 37 he asked 250 for got 0 bids the first time and when relisted failed to reach his reserve. Mind you someone did offer 165 for it which was amazing enough. Keith

I wasn't referring to any particular item. I looked back through some of the previous items he had sold over the past few months, and the descriptions are all in the same vein. Most of them are described as Mega-Rare or some such over-exaggeration with copious exclamation marks. I assume that this style must work, or why would anyone persist with it?

On the contrary, it's overwhelmingly positive.

I'm not trying to defend Aldo but just wish people would get their facts correct when making comments like this.

10 Negative Feedbacks and 6 Neutrals in one year is not overwhelmingly positive !!!!!

Quote from one customer 2nd April " Item was a fake- he refused to discuss it - I have informed ebay & the police"

"facts are correct comment made" End of subject.

All the best Steve.

Sorry for the slow response but I've been away. You conveniently omit the 400+ positives, I'd say it is overwhelmingly positive. I still wouldn't buy from him though!
