Needed: 9F Boiler end

Hi all


I'm not sure what it is called, but I have lost the damn end from my 9F



2-10-0 Evening Star loco. Anyone have one laying around, or can remove on from a damaged body they no longer need? I am happy to pay for it. Alternatively, can folks point me to where I can buy a used one.

Are there not exploded diagrams on the Hornby website which might allow you to identify the part you've lost?

I'm guessing he means the smokebox door, as I think that is the only loose bit on the 9F body that vaguely fits the description. As far as places to try, the usual two suspects are East Kent Models and Modelspares. Googling for either will produce contact details.

If all else fails you could buy a Dapol loco kit, new or secondhand, and fit and glue that smokebox door to the Hornby model.
