Re Hornby 2004

They have altered the web site which now reads "The 2004 range of diesel and electric locomotives will continue this trend, and new models of the Class 31 locomotive will not disappoint. There will also be new liveries on existing locomotive classes, including Riviera Trains, Direct Rail Services and First Great Western. The Hymek will also feature in 2004A new Class 50 model is also expected, this time in preserved BR green livery, and more multiple working locomotives - two Class 37s and two Class 58s in EWS livery, both sets weathered".

Looks like a bit of a rushed change to alter the wording re the Hymek. also all the ref nos seem to have been corrected.

Some of Hornby's 2004 products puzzle me - they're introducting an FGW Class

47 - but where are the coaches for it? New-livery MML HST - but no buffet coach to go with it. And the decision to introduce another double-headed Class 58 set - did 58s ever pair up in regular service?

The coal from Chatterley Valley Opencast back to Toton in the early

90s was usually double headed. I think it had finished before EWS livery though!
