The Gimp does a much better job than PSP, and is entirely FREE. How cheap do you want?

For a worked example using The Gimp, see:

If it was legal it would be on a disc. So he must be selling his copy over and over again

Yes forgot about The GIMP, just had a new version released I understand, and it will do everything you need and a great deal more. It's not like normal 'freeware' as it's designed by many users for users, not by a company, in accordance to strict guidelines.

The installation is, if my memory serves me correctly, in two parts but just follow the easy to follow instructions.

Now I understand what you are after YES Paint Shop Pro and Serifs Photoplus 6 ( now available as a 'free' download of the Serif web site ) will do what you need if you are unsure about using 'freeware'. A word of warning about Serif, you will need to ring up a free phone number to register your 'free' software and they will try VERY hard to sell you either the latest versions of their software or give you 'a great offer' on older versions.

Good suggestion, it is actually no more difficult to use thean Photoshop. P Hobson
