Some do, although it's not all that common now. You can also buy add-on cards with them for computers that don't have them fitted. One of the main companies doing these is StarTech

who have a remarkably large range of products for supporting legacy devices including RS232 and Parallel ports. I recently bought a heatsink and fan for an old Time 300 Series with an AMD K6 2 500 from them.

Quick look shows plenty of adapters for USB to serial to support legacy devices but not for legacy computers :-)

Some do but even more don't. One can readily buy a USB - Parallel adaptor (Dongle style) or a card.
