Does anyone know of the exact instructional lettering on the end plates above the handwheels on WALRUS wagons?
I am looking at the top photo on page 91 of Working Wagons Volume 1 (Larkin / Santona) and I can make out (I think) :-
TO SECURELY FASTEN THE CENTRAL DOORS THE HANDWHEELS MUST BE ????????????? TO THE ???????? ???????? THE ??????? ??????????? LOCKING ?????? (last word could be LEVER)
Any help would be gratefully received.
