Death nell of Nitro??

So the going price of a stock is all that matters does it?

I remember a start up company in the late 70's. Their stock sat below $1 for close to a year. Since then they've split some nine times and now sell in the mid 20's. A grand back in the 70's would be worth many million today.

Keep stuffing it in your mattress Red. As for me, Bill Gates is my hero! Yes! That company is Microsoft. And it's not the only one like that. Check out Harley Davidson for a similar story.

Have invested! Still invest! Don't play the lottery and am very rich!

Where else can one buy that much entertainment for a dollar?

Ed Cregger

Kind of what I was thinking. Can you still call it an airplane? Or a rudder controlled copter? I dunno. The kid's skill is at least as impressive as the unit itself tho! I was impressed by both.

Yep Worldcom. Thats the other one you invested in right?

So what...........put it in you watch list and keep an eye on the resistance and support and when it breaks out.....go for it.

Mike

hear hear!!

Check out Harley Davidson for a similar story.

I think not. Harley still exists only because they cried crocodile tears to Congress, and convinced the American government to levy a several-thousand-dollar import duty on every offshore motorcycle imported to this country.

This showing excellent business sense, adn a true American approach to business.

If you can't beat em, declare chapter 11, and pay off a politician!

Unlike the protectionist Europeans who place a tarrif on EVERYTHING and force companies to buy their goods ONLY from EU sources.

Actually, it was ONLY bikes with engines above 700cc. It was only for a limited time. It made exceptions for bikes from Europe, and mostly targeted Japan. It gave Harley time to fix their problems, which they did.

And it resulted in all the Japanese brands introducing a 650cc turbo-charged sport model (I had a Yamaha 650 Seca turbo). Once the tarrif was lifted, the turbo-chargers dissappeared.

HD is just another incompetently managed US firm bailed out by the taxpayers. I say let them fail and be replaced by more well run companies.

Ah, but that is ecologically sound. Reduces transport fuel consumption.

And ensures that rather than revolting peasants, they are all tucked up making stuff in little factories.

Thats teh great difference between teh USA and Europe. Wht to sdo with teh peasants. Thers no room for ALL of tham in the white house, so you guys give em expensive driugs and let them create a war zone in Iraq, or downtown LA, whichever is handier.

We prefer that they do something a bit calmer, like being traffic wardens, soshul wurkahs, or Laber pollytisshuns.

And why not? Someone cheats, you cheat right on back.

.....Owned by a chinese.

You mean back when Jap bikes were being subsidized by the government in Tokyo? Hence being sold here for LESS than it cost to build them! You mean back then?

Or do you mean recent history where HD is being studied and held up as an example of modern industry methods and management? Where every major company sees valuable lessons in what HD has done the last 20 years and many are implementing the very techniques demonstrated by HD.

But of course you wouldn't mean that. After all, you're a student of AMA management styles!

Know what DH? I'll side with you there. From now on, keep your products away from our shores. And we will do likewise. And we will see who adapts the best! Can Europe survive without the Dollar better than we can survive without the Euro?

And actually, for quite some time Japan did not allow bikes over 750cc in their country. From any manufacturer!

And of course today, with so many Jap models looking soooooooo much like Milwaukee Iron!

Spoken like someone who has absolutely no clue what he's talking about! Better do some research on HD before shove your other foot in your mouth!
