Here?s a story of an intruder who had a really bad day, even by criminal standards.
He was in the midst of a burglary, rifling through drawers and cabinets in the kitchen when he was discovered by the homeowner. Panicked, he grabbed a knife.
For a moment he reached for the homeowner?s children, but the homeowner grabbed a claw hammer and nearly removed a chunk from the suspect?s hide as he fled the home.
A neighbor observed the suspect running full-tilt down the street. The suspect?s next move was to hijack a car. Bad move.
The driver, a concealed-carry permit holder, shot the suspect three times in the lower torso and held him for police. (Seattle Post-Intelligencer, Seattle, Wash.,07/04/2011)

Too bad the homeowner didn't have a gun and ended the terror spree right then and there. Must have been a liberal with no regard for the safety of his children.
You know the old saying, "Never bring a claw hammer to a knife fight", although in this case the homeowner got lucky.
