Lol...

"Final Notice and Disclaimer: I know nothing about these stuffed Beanie Babies. I offer no proof of anything. It is a stuffed animal, get over it! I don't think my ex-wife was in the Black Market Beanie Trade..but then again, I didn't know she was having an affair either! Thus no gauruntees! All have theior little Heart Shaped tags on their ears. "

Not bad though - he got $860 for them. :P And check out the bid history

- what's with people bidding against themselves? :D (But maybe that's a common ebay thing... I don't follow auctions there)

But he left about 3 grand on the table. Several of those little stuffed rags sell for $700-$800. Them Beanie people are almost as crazy as us toolaholics.

Exactly.... I showed the wife ebay and we looked at beanie babies one time. The next thing I knew she had beanine babies coming in from all corners of the world. Then I happened to see the check book one day and saw an ebay purchase for over $200.00 USD. I questioned her on the purchase and she infomed me she bought a rare beanie babie for a cheap price......yea right! Then she informed me if I looked further back in the check registry I would find anaother one, which was identical to this one that she actually paid more for... yea gads...has she gone crazy on me.....

Later on down the road she wagged a cashiers check under my nose for over 4 times the amount that she paid for the one beanie baby and said , see I told you it was a great deal! So don't ever argue with a woman on the value of things..........and NO Beanie Babies are not in the same ball game as machine tools, I found that out later, when I wanted to buy a few odds and ends, when she said, will you be able to get more for them than you paid for them if you ever sold these things..Honest answer was not really! Nuff said. This is perhaps why she is so intent on building that 2 story 16 x 20 storage building, so she can house all her little fuzzy beanie babies and star wars collectables, that now fills one complete bedroom and just about every nook and crany in her closet and the rest of the house, and I am stuck with a 16 x 24 shop for a heap of real tools........ and have to work on the car in the rain outside under a tarp! Well, don't be tempted to take over the bottom floor of that storage building. If she catches the slightest whiff of cutting oil near her stash you will be up the old doodoo creek and her lawyer will have the paddle. :-)

That's freakin nuts. I can't understand why someone would pay that much for a stuffed animal. At least tools are useful.

One of my regular working planes (I'm mainly a woodworker) is a Norris A5. I know that if I ever eBayed it, I'd easily get twice what I paid. It's also a damned good plane.
