and you can't see it until you have paid for it! Seller is quite rightly paranoid about security and some oik pinching his pride and joy but who pays out 32k on a bike they haven't seen - unless the 28 bids so far are all from people who know the bike well.
I know most of us may have made ebay purchases sight unseen but 32k is a bit more than i would take a chance on!

Friend of mine has just parted with his original 1961 AJS 7R purely because he can't afford the insurance premiums for it sitting in a garage as he's no longer able to race it and it's not eligible for the road.

It's all in a name. With the exception of the petrol tank Matchless made the same model as the brough for years but you never see these fetching silly money. Lets face it Ower George didn't actually make a motorcycle, like many of the period he assembled one from propitiatory parts. JAP engine, Sturmley gearbox, Druid forks, British Hub company wheels and a few bespoke tubes and fittings for a frame.
Still one owner will be laughing al the way to the bank.
