surface display in drawing mode???

Hello, I'm have created an assembly of a covered utility trailer where I have the outer panels as a surface. I'm trying to create a view in the drawing to show how the trailer will look, but even in shaded mode the surfaces don't cover the members below. Does anyone know how to make surfaces block out whats behind them. thanks

Dennis, in shaded mode, surfaces get a paint job. They are made to appear solid, i.e., covering up geometry behind them. In drawing mode, the illusion evaporates. Houdini can't perform his stunts in drawing mode. What used to be hidden lines in solids are now perfectly visible. Of course, you can go through view geometry and selectively erase any line in the view and restore the illusion of solidity. It would be a more direct and rational solution to actually make your surfaces solid. You could make them thin protrusions and solve by selecting the view, RMB and select 'Properties', 'Modify view', 'View display', then select 'No hidden line', then select Done, Done. And your hidden line should go away.
