HPR Magazine

ROTFLMAO! Produce the August issue in late November and you're already 3 issues behind with a month to go. I can't believe this guy has ANY credibility left. He makes Jerry Irvine look like Mother Theresa.

So what did the BATF do? Raid you? Take you to court? Throw you in jail? Is there a court case number where you beat their sorry little a$$e$ into the ground?

Standard response to an NPRM like this is a handful of responses. They got THOUSANDS, not just from us about rocket stuff, but lots of other industries that would be screwed by these new rules. I doubt they've even figured out what to do with them all yet. Except sweep them all under a rug and ignore them, like they usually do.

That's exactly what I'm referring to. Whether the vendor calls it a motor sale or "sale for services" is irrelevent -- the fact remains that flyers can still buy and fly at the site if they have a vendor. The rest is just semantics.

After I posted this, I found out the following:

TRA BoD has no longer has any connection to HPR. When someone subscribes to HPR, TRA just forwards the money to them & that's the end of their involvment. I call this a good first step. By doing this, TRA receives the benefit of some advertising in HPR at no cost. TRA members have the option of not subscribing.

The only real connection now is that HPR is the official TRA Magazine. I think the relationship should be dropped but, I have to give them credit for taking a first step.

Bob & Jerry, I know you will say next & I agree. Start a new thread on it.

"TRA BoD has no longer has any connection to HPR. When someone subscribes to HPR, TRA just forwards the money to them & that's the end of their involvment."

sure sounds like the TRA and HPR still have a connection to me..... Why does HPR even need TRA to "forward" the monies to HPR? If this is what they told you phil, its just semantical BS.....can you say BOGUS...

so by forwarding the money to HPR,TRA facilitates the continuing fraud?

If TRA needs any advertising I suggest they advertise in either SR or ER.... what good is any advertising paid for, it it doesn't show up as regularly scheduled? Most vendors contract their advertising to a magazine to appear in a specific issue...

Yes.

Nope. I cited the law.

Nope. I am sure TRA would have reveled in that no end.

But everyone will be happy to know they kept and bonfired what they took about an hour before the judge ordered them to return it.

Justice is always 100% fair, isn't it? :)

Because ATF in their infinite wisdom calls things that "deflagrate" ie matches, propellant, wood, paper, "Deflagrating explosives".

Because they made the default definition so excessively inclusive it was necessary to write the exemptions 555.141-a-8 and 555.141-a-7 and many others to exclude common householld items, and of course any activity by the government itself.

Who wants to co-found and of course formally incorporate the "City of Jerry Irvine the mad bomber" with me?

The distinctions are subtle but real and in the LAW, not in the "interpretations that NAR and TRA, and even NFPA codes authored by same, say.

I have asked that they totally breakoff any relationship. It's not quite what I wanted but, I have to give them credit, it's progress.

Why don't you join? Then you can tell them too,

Propellants consisting of "high explosives" whose 'primary and common purpose" is not to explode (seals use C4 as campfires for example), then it is exempt.

BUT they DO forward it to them knowing what they know!!!

I believe some version of this first step happened over 3 years ago. If they slightly modified the procedure with the same end result, who cares?

BUT they DO forward it to them knowing what they know!!!

BUT they DO endorse it knowing what they know!!!

ENDORSE EXCLISIVELY.

ENDORSE AT ALL.

Legally, not a single thing has changed.

I do not.

No. I have said it.

I hear that you have to be sure to knead _all_ the air bubbles out of your C4 before you use it in a campfire...

I am still waiting to meet the first (any) guy I ripped off :)

At some point where there is smoke, and alleged smoke, and rumors of smoke, and stories of past smoke, there is NO fire.

THIS should be in the FAQ as my answer to ANY allegation.

I figure that is you didn't care you wouldn't read this. I & a lot of TRA members care.

The BoD guys are making it very clear that from their perspective, subscribers are dealing with HPR & not TRA.

You may be right but, I still think it's progress.

Did not. You were supposed to say TRA HQ needs to be out of Brucie's house.
