1:72 Douglas TDB Devastator & P-36/Hawk 75

Hello peeps

My new toy arrived in the post today, a 1:72 Dragon P-61A Black Widow from the Golden Wings series. I've been after a non-Airfix P-61 in this scale for some time and am looking forard to putting this one together - anyone have any experience of the kit?

Oops, that was some tangent to go off on, so back to my subject header. I lost out on an Airfix kit of the Devastator in 1:72 recently on eBay, and as none have appeared in the three weeks since. Does anyone know what other kits there are out there of this warbird and how likely I can get my hands on one in the UK? Same goes for the Curtiss P-36/Hawk 75 as well...

Many thanks

P-61 If ya didn't want Airfix ther was always FROG.

Devastator. I wish there was other than Airfix, but it isn't a bad kit. Accurate in outline if as expected light on detail. I just bagged 3 I think about 8 weeks ago from different sellers. I still have the search setup. Even though there is nothing now just wait, there were as many as

3 to 5 at a time when I was looking.

Monogram made a Hawk in 72 that's fairly decent if lacking in detail. Revell GErmany has the molds and I've seen it boxed recently but I don't what box, I have a Revell and a Monogram boxing. Revell had thier own P-36, too. It was in one of thier "3 pioneer fighters of WWII" klkts at least.

Hannants lists one from Special Hobby and another from Smer which could be a Heller kit

I recall seeing news somewhere of a possible new 1:72 Devastator from one of the European short-run companies - Sword? Pavla?

There's also some good Hawks in 1:72 from these companies.

Cheers, James
