LOOKING FOR FEEDBACK ON HASEGAWA 1/32 F-18 Kit

Anyone built this kit? I'm trying to decide whether of not to buy this one or spring for the extra bucks to buy the Academy Kit. Any recommendations/tips would be most welcome.

The Hasegawa kit represents a prototype so if you want to build a production Hornet go with the Academy kit.

It's an old kit that represents a prototype, with a number of differences from any production Hornet, has very little in the way of stores or ordnance, has raised panel lines, and isn't as detailed as the Academy kit. Unless you want to do a prototype, get the Academy kit.

No brainer - buy the Academy. WAY more accurate...and represents a production Hornet. You'll spend just as much on the aftermarket parts to build a decent one from the Hasegawa kit, unless you want to build one of the FSD jets, and the landing gear will still SUCK.
