How does Trumpter 1/32 Wildcat undercarriage compare to old Revell?

Leaps and bounds ahead - in fact, if you've seen or built the 1/48 Tamiya kit, it's pretty much a direct duplicate of those parts in 1/32 (along with the cockpit parts, too). Add the Eduard etched parts and it's a real gem. Build the Tamiya one in 1/48 first (I've got two in work) if you'd like to practice.

I've read of some issues getting the wheels to line up fore/aft with the wheel wells, but I'm convinced that this may be due to folks installing the "keel" part backwards, which is easy to do if you don't pay attention - the notches in the keel locate the gear assembly fore/aft in the wells. I haven't started either of my two yet, but from the looks of things if there is a real problem it should be easy enough to fix during the build.

IMO, Trumpeter's Wildcat and P-38 kits are the best of their 1/32 WWII series. I've relegated my Revell kits of each to the parts heap.
