Congratulations! I've seen an open kit and it looked like a....no, 'challenge' just doesn't quite cover it. How about, 'test of mental endurance'? :)

The whistle-blower. Please try to keep up. ;-p

Excuse me while I go gouge my eyes out... :(

Some boric acid and a wire brush will clear that up nicely... ;-p

Whistle? Hmm, well, I knew she was a bl..er.

no, watching the news makes me puke. i like pop culture but not the news.

I'm sure she has a lovely personality! ;-)

Bill,

The builds were a test for sure but the results were worth it. My Fiat had a couple of missing parts and that was a chore to find replacments. The Alpha was, at least, all there but I did spend a lot of hours on her.

I also bought, a couple of years ago, 8 of the Revival 1/20 Metal / Plastic Kits as Model Expo was liquidating the line. I got them real cheap and now it appears they have gone away. The prices on ebay and other places have gone through the roof. Now, I am reluctant to open and build any of them ??

Unless those are the old Hubley kits I'm not familiar with them. Not all of those were 1/20th.

At my current rate of < 1 model a year, I'm going to need rejuvenation treatments until I reach my 400th birthday... Unless I keep buying, in which case the only hope for me is that someone grows a plastic-eating microbe and lets it loose on the world's kit makers.

Crikey!! I go away to work for a week and the group goes all to hell! You guys are sick.

While we're on the topic, though.. Hows about Connie Rice - even just by herself...

Condi? Nice body, smart as hell, but not especially pretty. I'd say she's at least a few cuts above most that have been mentioned...

Back in the early 70s, the first episode of "Doomwatch" had that premise.

uv does it fine. i tied a lindberg b17 to my roof 5 years ago and it turned to dust and blew away. there's an outline on the tiles.

I have given up on the idea that I could finish all of my kits. (About 600 1/48th planes) I get a lot of satisfaction from taking one off of the shelve, admiring the way it is designed, imagining how I would've built it, in what setting, etc, etc, etc, and then putting it back.

And sometimes.........sometimes one gets built. But then only if it is not irreplacable and I have another one. I do shiver at the thought of people actually building kits that have eventually stood the test of time for 30+ years. Although I (sorta) can imagine That one likes to build an original old kit for sentimental reasons. I think.

Cheers,

Dennis

I think I've heard of him... ;)
