Painted Windows

Testor's SR-75 came with an option for decal windows on a solid styrene part or clear windows. Since you cannot see into the thing where mine is displayed, I opted for the decal windows. The next one on my bench will be reworked with more detail and it will have canopies opened as well as bay and service doors opened. I once took a 35mm slide of a outside looking into a cockpit of an airliner and added it to a kit. With a small lightbulb on the inside it looked at the time state of the art of modeling. I simply cut the slide into small pieces and used them for the windows...using the kits original as a pattern. That was

For windows that face upward, I tend to use a very glossy light blue. I reserve black for things that are vertical or even face downward. This is especially true on dark colored models. Look at window/windshield reflections on real vehicles.
