S2F Tracker-Scrathbuild Help Needed

Hi all, I recently bought two old Comet 1/48th scale S2F Trackers off of (Ta-da!] eBay. It is actually a nice kit, except it has no interior or landing gear. I'd like to try to scratch build these parts. I have several questions.

Has any other model company done the S2F in this scale? Is there a Detail and Scale or similar book about this aircraft? Is there an aircraft with landing gear close enough to the S2F to use instead of having to build from scratch? What is the best filler to use to fill the national markings and other markings on the kit? (It has engraved markings for these).

I'd appreciate any and all help with this. Thanks, Jerry 47

Well, I'll answer one question. The best filler for the engraved national markings is liquid paper (or typing correction fluid, or whatever it is called in your neck of the woods. Just make sure you have a nice fresh bottle (so it is very fluid) and run it into the lines. Let it dry hard (15 minutes) and rub it down. Voila!

I should have googled this before posting my question. I've found a lot of info, but any additional would still be helpful. Thanks again, Jerry 47

Congradulations! One quibble though. Are these the same molds as the Aurora version? If they are, check out the measurements carefully. The Aurora was listed in some spots as 1/4" scale (1:48) but is closer to 1:52, IIRC. Been there, done it, been corrected.
