Trumpeter F-105

I was reading the review on the Trumpeter's F-105 in FSM and saw was of the
concerns was the landing gear being fragile unable to support the weight of the
model. Any thoughts how to correct this?
TIA

I believe Aero-Club has announced a set of cast metal landing gear for this bird. They have done them for some other 1/32 scale aircraft, including the 1/32 scale revell Hawker Hunter, a set of which I just bought. Aero-clubs website is:

Roll Models might have them in stock too.

|I have bought many bits from them over the years, i remember last year, i spent 2 years working on a T55 Mbox Lightning(mass etch and upgrade), i got delayed as usual, i foned them on a Tue and said can you send me a vac canopy and seats i think, urgent next day, i would post the cash the same time as they sent them, as i had a model club meeting the following day, the items arrived in the morning, spent all day working on the bits ready for the evening meet (Wed), completed it and was happy then suddenly it hit me the show was the following Wed.........i threw the kit against the wall.........it was shite anyway

Use the plastic gear as molds to cast a set in metal, or scratch build a metal set from brass tube, strip, and rod and use some of the plastic parts as detail items.
I plan to do the latter.
