No RMB menu in Assy mode?

SW2005sp3.1 Anyone see this before? I'm working incontext, editing a part in the assembly, after I exit the sketch and rebuild, there is NO RMB (right-click) menu to go back and edit the assembly!?!? And, the edit component icon is greyed out?? The only way I could get it back was editing a sketch in the current opened part, rebuild and the RMB menu reappeared?

(shaking head... man, it's one amazing.. piece of $#@*!)

Ah yes,... another problem...

"All" my parts are resolved, "No" parts are in rollback,.. yet, my top assembly states I can not work in it because one or more of my components is in rollback mode?!?!?!?!?!

What a POS!!!

Paul, I know what yoiu mean - I had the same thing a couple of days ago - but I put it down to us - I thought it might have had something to do with some of the parts of the assy being created by my client who is using SP0.1 and that I was accessing parts from the local hard drive, our network and from a usb flash drive!

.....................................................................................Maybe it was solidworks!

Yes, seen this many, many times. I use the same technique you describe to "get out of it". SW rocks, doesn't it?!?!?!

We get this all the time in 2005 and 2006. One of the causes if it you have a sketch only feature in a folder and drag it anywhere into the tree and edit that sketch. You have to roll up the feature tree and roll back down to keep from getting the parts in rollback mode. It's worse in

2006 than it was in 2005
