I was trying to get this point across:- all the conflict and all the political interference takes place in the Middle East. It is _YOU_ interfering in the Middle East and in the Moslem world, not Moslems interfering in US politics.

I don't know what they (who-ever "they" happens to be) would do if they had the power and the US did not - it's hardly relevant as _they_ do not even have the power to kick you out of _their_ homes and _their_ nations.

As for my Kiwi freedoms, in my lifetime, we have come running to your cries for help time after time, in Korea, Vietnam, the Gulf etc etc. We haven't even once in that time been threatened by any nation other than the USA. WWI and WWII? As I read the history books, we (my ancestors) went trundling off to the other side of the World to fight for the freedoms and rights of the Western world (our own not actually being threatened) while the US sat back and profited from armament sales to both sides. Even when you provoked Japan into the war, we were never actually under any threat. Now we spend our defence budget on such things as patrolling millions of square miles of ocean to keep watch for nuclear submarines which might threaten the USA and more on peace-keeping in numerous hot-spots around the globe (13 at present count) and our navy trots off to fill the gaps in the US defense when yours go off to belligerently invade sovereign nations elsewhere on the globe.

Because they determined that it was better to keep, their opponents guessing as to whether thay still had a chemical/biological retaliatory capacity then to let them know they didn't.
