Train database in a handheld

Has anyone created or adapted a database for the Palm os? I am thinking of something that would allow me to check mark the rolling stock that I place at the club so I know what is out and where it is, not just list it.



Kind of like a checklist where all the stock that I might want to bring and run at the club, and be able to use a checkbox to let me know if it is out of the transport cabinet.



I tried to use a Grocery store shopping list, but I am not sure that is the best even though it has the check off box that I am looking for.



It might help if it could be set up and synchronized on the computer or handheld.

I've been using HanDBase on my Palm for over a year, now. It's simplicity itself to build these types of lists. On my m500 I keep a list of freight cars I own (so I can try to avoid buying duplicate numbers at train shows), a list of episodes I have of TV series I'm collecting (again so I can avoid buying duplicates), a gift ideas list, the list of books I'm looking for, and my hobby shop shopping list.

For the larger databases, I perform the data entry on the PC, then sync it with the Palm, only performing lookups and minor updates on the handheld.

HanDBase can be used for simple lists, but can also be set up to provide look-up tables across databases. It supports most of the data entry controls you'll find in PC-based databases.
