Pretty cool! Since our club runs monthly on a 108' x 43' representation of the SD&AE, it seems we'll have to find a way to model the "ghost lights".

Anybody know where we could obtain an HO gauge skeleton that we could stuff with a grain-of-rice bulb and mount just inside a tunnel portal? (Preferably *before* Halloween?)

Might I suggest that you get some overhead transparency film and make a black background, white skeleton image in the correct size? Use a bit of black marker to fill in the background where it may be spotty. Then add a grain of wheat behind a layer of gauze. If you use a laser printer, it will be nice and sharp with very dark black. Ink jet may be a bit paler but would work. You could take the whole thing to a copy shop to have them put it on transparency with extra dark toner settings.

Use this image, clear the text and make it a negative in your favorite paint program and you've got a winner.

Or, pick any of them from here:

I was thinking of something three-dimensional, but that might just work!

Thanx for the idea!

After you do it, use a blunted dowel to push out the white bits giving it that 3-D sort of feel. Use a piece of soft wood behind the image to give it some support as you push the bones out from behind. I've used color slides before in house windows lit from inside. Amazing results.
