Or Loksound.. Is there an equivalent? Thanks
To the best of my knowledge there is only one sound chip available for UK outline, that is for western region steam and costs more than the three diesel models you mentioned put together.
The few diesel sound chips available are for US outline only and equally expensive. The only way they will become affordable is if they are built-in to the models at the factory stage.

The obvious candidate would be those used for the German diesel hydraulics on which the UK designs are based but I doubt very much if they are available separately.

Cant the loksound ones be programmed with custom sounds?
The Loksound2 and Loksound3 decoders come pre programmed with German DH sounds, I beleive the Warships were based on German V200s and the Westerns on V230s so the sounds may be OK. Some of the DMUs sound quite similar to ours.
The Loksound decoders can be found at

sample sounds are also availabe there. You can also buy a programmer to program your own prerecorded sounds into Loksound decoders. Decoders pre programmed with UK class 37 and 20 sounds can be found at

Try Loksound. You can programme your own into the chips as well as down loading pre recorded sound etc from the web site and suppliers.
