Wheels for Lima Parcels van?

anyone tell

Allan Gibson used to market replacement wheel sets with the Lima 'short' axle, I haven't checked if he still does so (they are not listed on the URL below) but would be surprised if he doesn't - or could not.

The Hornby wheels are the cheapest packs, they are not bad when toned down with some rusty/brown/black paint.

Yes he does, and Dave Cleal at Mainly Trains usually has a selection in stock but you have to ask specially.

Intercity Models "Superollers" is a superb range of rolling stock wheels available with Lima length axles or Hornby/Bachmann.

They have a database of which lengths are needed for which wagon and can supply to most 4 mm scale gauges.

The wheels (and other kits) might well be superb but the same can't be said for the web site, most user un-friendly - especially the type face and the navigation :~(

As John says the Hornby wheels are pretty good although I've got to say I use Gibson wheels as a matter of course for any stock I'm detailing or build myself.

In his defence, while on holiday at the end of the country last summer i paid a visit to his shop and depite the fact he was getting over a recent major operation found him extremley helpfull.

My experience at exhibitions and using mail order has been exactly the opposite. He made helpful suggestions and was not averse to accepting an unusual order for a fairly small sum.
