Anyone have the stats on how much power the normal computer uses?

Agreed! I've had a 15" 1600x1200 laptop for a couple of years. That display beats *any* 17" display and comes close to the 21" CRT next to it at the same resolution. Remember, an LCD display has *no* geometric distortion (linearity is a biggie for schematics and waveforms).

I like it! snipped-for-privacy@thebarattheendoftheuniverse.org I usually make it snipped-for-privacy@theangrylittledickwithears.org He is usually so INTO telling us all that we don't read his posts correctly that he doesn't even notice that he missed the play on his mung......And hey....I too would like to know where he got his so called "impressive" degree in Moronology!

A 19" that can do at least 1600x1200 at 100Hz? That's at *least* what it would take to replace a good 17" LCD (though I don't know where your prices come from). Remember, LCD screen sizes aren't rated the same way as CRT displays. A 15" LCD is almost the same size as a 17" CRT.

They are fast enough, except for some anal gamers.

As usual, you haven't a what you're talking about. TFT displays do *not* flicker. I am very sensitive to flicker and have never been offended by my laptop's display.

You are a total asswipe, or hasn't your mother told you yet?

Only a tripple DimBulb post, Bush. You must try harder.

Still laughing Keith, Dimbulb hasn't a ray of intelligence... I would venture to guess that there is a "bad connection" upstairs!

It figures that you're a racist bastard as well. Damn shame that one of them didn't get you, Conner. Your E-1 grade mentality is lame, just like your posts are.

Since LCD displays are still not at 1600 x 1200, I doubt that that is your resolution.

What brand of laptop? I have seen nothing over 1280 x 1024.

Well?

It beats nothing if the images are moving. As far as CRT linearity goes, the CRTs made in the PC industry are at their pinnacle.

If you get weary eyed because of a schematic line not being absolutely "straight" you have bigger problems than your lack of ability to gauge monitor features.

How should we evaluate your little retarded assessment posts then?

You couldn't be a much more retarded Usenet poster. I'm sure you'll try though.
