Olive Oil is hott! >;-)

The other piece to this little puzzle is that Stephen wrote "Then can I pay you Tuesday for some chicken today?" ON Tuesday.

Fit the RMR idiom perfectly. First mass confusion erupts. Tempers flare. Then Tripoli is blamed. Plonks all around. And all is right in the world.

I always considered Olive Oyl as definite proof that Popeye and Bluto had been at sea waaaaayyy too long.

I always figured Popeye should have eaten more carrots and less spinach, in which case he would have had better eyesight. But then, that doesn't explain Bluto's obsession with Olive.

Now that I think about it, Olive might make a good rocket.

The funny thing is that the woman who did Olive's voice was actually quite large. I don't remember her name but she used to do commercials, one as a character called "Aunt Bluebell" for a paper towel commercial in the late

60's / early 70's.

You guys have no sense of romance. You had it right the first time, Mark -- Olive IS hot.

Naw, it would be like using a cooked spaghetti noodle for a rocket.

That would be Mae Questel, who originated the voice of voices of Olive Oyl, Betty Boop and several other characters. There were a couple of years or so when some other women did Olive's voice, but I don't recall her name. Then it was back to Mae again. She was quite a talented gal, and in one episode she even provided Popeye's voice, and did a pretty fair job of it.

Here's a site that has some good bio and career info about Mae Questel:

We could do it like superroc but call it SuperOlive instead.

I forgot about Betty Boop. You are correct on all counts.

There is NO sexier voice than Natasha Fatale. Hands down.

Edith Bunker? Wilma Flintstone? Ethel Mertz?

Not even them?

But Gene, is that Kosher? -- Richard "even if Gene is Kosher, he's still one the most amusing rocketeers around" Hickok

Are you inferring... never mind, never mind.
