Much as we'd all like to read it that way, it's pretty clear that it's meant to be read, using math-style grouping parentheses, as (sporting, recreational, or cultural) purposes in antique firearms

Because (1) some people prefer a more-primitive hunting experience, and (2) muzzle-loaders get longer seasons.
