Hobby Lobby deals {bragging about}

I built a Macross Destriod for kicks years ago, and had a lot of fun with it. I started the Burning Gundam last night and am having a lot of fun so far. Bandai did a gerat job tooling these kits. They would look nice just thrown together with snap fit. It is a nice vacation from 1/48 WWII props.

A friend and I grabbed the last two AM B-25 Doolittle raiders kits for $21 each. The Revell Enzo looks like a great kit for $7, better quality than expected and the box is completely full.

In all, all three local shops had new stuff, two had a lot of new stuff and one of those had restocked and the shelves which were overflowing last Saturday for our visit. All had added King Tigers, Tamiya 1/48 Wildcats, and AM planes (up to three different kits). Two of the three local shops also had the Beufighters, wheeled Swordfishes and DO 335 with Kettenkrad, and several new Tamiya car offerings. One of the local shops has given up selling trying to sell their six Dragon Wagon tractors at $80 and lowered the price to $60, which of course would be $30 with the coupon. No noticiable mismarks at any this time but we were late getting to the two best known for it.

None of the three locals seem to be reordering the Trump/HC 1/24 planes, the Academy F-18s, 1/32 ME 109Gs, or the large ships as I haven't seen any since their initial appearance. Not something I want though.

A pleasant surpise overall!
