Question re Hawsegawa 1/48 Skyhawk

The trailing edge on the tail/rudder of the 1/48 Hawsegawa Skyhawk, that I'm building, appears too thick. I can't find any good photos to determine if the edge is accurate (within scale) or if the area should be thinned down?

Any help would be appreciated.

IIRC the rudder of the A4 is a solid sheet with some stiffeners in it and I was told once that the trailing edge of the rudder is square cut and about 1" thick.

None are explicitly of the rudder from back on, but some like 01ohkc51 and 01ohkc52 do show the base of the vertical stab to be square cut.
