I heard on the radio this morning that eight eBay sellers from New York State have been in dicted for shilling their auctions. You know having a friend make false bids to up the price of the object. Anyway, they've been doing this for about five years and have agreed to reimpurse their customers to the tune of $90,000. Nice tune!

People ask me about this constantly. As you pointed out, unless it's priced low or attracting a lot of bidders "shilling" or any other chicanery is pointless. If it's going to sell, it'll sell. Most of my auctions end with one bid.
Did anyone notice the Vulcan ended at about $22,000. I think the scrap metal is worth more. Cheers,

Hi Keeper,
The Vulcan made mainstream news bulletins on this side of the pond, I heard a scrap value of £6,000 mentioned (approx $10,000).
I just hope it found a loving owner, who will cherish it for what it is.............
Long live the Vulcan
Happy modelling Ant
According to the news report, some guy in Florida got $3,000 back for his overbid on a '97 pickup. As was siad, auction fever must have set in, or that thing was really cherry!

Thanks for that, I'd imagined more.
Truly. The new owner owns the Snipe Inn and he apparently plans on parking the Vulcan next door. Just think! You could play in the Vulcan and pop in the tavern for a beverage. I wonder if there's a flat available locally; time to start packing! Cheers, The Keeper (of too much crap!)
i'd build a flat in it.
A flat what?? :-P
