Edrawings measure disabled

Aug 29, 2007 5 Replies

I have SolidWorks Office Professional (SP4.0) installed but for some reason when I create and edrawing or emodel measure is disabled, any idea on how I can switch this back on.

Note this was installed on a clean machine and SP4.0 was installed mmediately after installing SolidWorks

When you save an eDrawing, you have to tell it to enable the measure. It's a checkbox.

Doh!

I just clicked the icon before, to create the edrawing, and there wasn't an option for enable measure, the same applied to Menu/File/Publish Edrawing. But sure enough if you "Save As" Edrawing it's there hidding behind the options button.

I'm sure this was easier in previous releases, wasn't there a checkbox somewhere?

As far as I remember, it's always been an option at the time of save, whether the save is in SW, in which case the checkbox is under the Options button, or from inside eDrawings, in which case it's right there in the Save-as box.

Just tested, if the last time you did as "Save as" edrawing in SolidWorks and disabled measure the next time you click the icon to create an edrawing you are unable to enable measure when you save as from the edrawing. Now that's weird!

This happened to me when we first loaded 2007. Couldn't figure out what they had done. I had to goto File/Save-as/edrawing inside solidworks and then use the -options- button to turn on the allow measure there. After that it has continued to show up for me as an option in the regular edrawings dialog (from the edrawing icon on the toolbar).
