SWX drawing to DWG converter?

Hi, Does anyone know if there's a free utility to convert SWX drawings to DWG or DXF?

The reason I ask is that for many of our suppliers, we can ask them to download either the eDrawings or SWX viewer. We can then send them our SWX drawings and they can view/print them out. However, some of them want to take the geometry and edit it in Autocad/Radan/etc..... so that they can drive laser cutters etc. We therefore have to save a copy of the SWX drawing as a DWG to email to them, which is a pain. Also, the person emailing the drawing to the supplier is often not a designer, and so doesn't have SWX, so they have to ask the designer to stop what he's doing, open up a drawing, SaveAs and (often) email it as well. Altogether, a PITA.

If eDrawings had SaveAs DWG it would be great...but it doesn't...hence my question.

good ol' bob z. is pretty sure you can save a swx drawing to acad 'DWG' format (or DXF). Go to File, Saveas, and change the 'save as type'

I needed the same thing for Solid Edge. I ended up creating 2 VB apps, one client that would allow them to submit a drawing number, and a server app that runs every minute and checks a list. If it finds a drawing number in the list, it performs a search for the file and if found, opens it and saves it as a DWG. Works pretty good, and no one needs to have Solid Edge installed to get a DWG except for the server machine.

Bob,

The point was to convert it to dwg if you have NOT good swx. :-)
