Man with Bamford has another go.

Following on from the previous thread the 'early' Bamford is for sale on ebay again. This time it appears to have got younger but by only a year (now

1920). Actual age is late 1930's at best. He is also admitting to more bits been missing.

Actually it says 1920 showplate rivetted to crankcase splash guard....doesn't say the age of the engine this time.

It states 1920 Hopper cooled Model in the title (as additional text) and

1920 Petrol Paraffin in the text. Whilst I will admit it is not specifically saying that is the year of manufacture, it is infering it was made in 1920. I would dought that the showplate is rivetted to the crank guard, all the ones I have seen on 4 and 5/6HP were cast as part of the lower crank guard.

Havng had a 1923 4HP model myself for the last 32 years I have compared enough of them to find there are many small design changes over the years.
