Hello,
I'm looking for an O gauge Fowler 3F Jinty Kit. Does anyone have any recommendations? Even better does anyone have a built up one to sell? I have been looking for J.M.models but cant find them, I heard they did a nice one. Any ideas? Many thanks.

Depending on the level of detail/ruggedness required, you could "bash" a Lima battery-operated 3F (probably available cheaply somewhere on the second hand market). My dad did this, and I think it looks really good. He uses his out doors, to gather in the fruit and veg from the greenhouse. Large flat wagon for carrying beans, marrows, etc., and "opens" for tomatos. It all tastes much better when delivered by rail!

Well it's O gauge, but not 7mm to the foot scale. But for the price they are useful.

That's what happened to my Airfix models in the months following the acquisition of my first air rifle ... hundreds of them, thousands of hours of work ... took me over 20 years before I felt sad about it though.

Yes, I love the irony - a continental firm modelling in 1/4 inch to the foot, while I use 7mm to the foot.

Not surprising, the Americans do a good job of confusing me :))
