Is it possible to define a custom ref balloon or specify an alternate symbol?
I've set up a parts list table that lists just the "dash number" for components defined on the drawing and the complete part number for any parts brought into the assy from outside the drawing. The dash numbers (-xxx) fit in the standard balloon and I've created obround symbols for the complete part number items. I have yet to figure out how to get the ref balloons working. Convention has it that ref part callouts will not be in a bubble, but simply have a leader line, the dash or part number and "REF". So far the best I've been able to come up with is creating a separate table for the ref balloons. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Is there any way to reference a table cell value in a standard leader note or custom symbol and will it be associated with that cell in a specific table record should that record be displaced in the table?
(I have gone so far as modifying the stock ref balloon symbols and thought it was working, but when the drawing is regenerated the little suckers revert back to index numbers.)
