Merry Christmas to all-

DC:

I did not take your comment as making light of my Christmas wish at all. My post about my most memorable Christmas experience was not a reaction to your post but, as I indicated, just my way of doing something public to remember Ski on the anniversary of his loss.

Cheers...Bill

And trumped in California courts at least half a dozen times. Probably in other states as well.

Does she live in the US? If so, She should be able to fly her country's flag as she pleases. While I do not fly it every dday, I fly the flag on every holiday. I'd almost love for my community association to try that crap here. I'd fly it every damn day. Hell, I might even light it so I could fly it 24 hours a day and dare them to make me take it down. Then I'd go directly to SEN Warner (a former Marine combat pilot) and ask him what he thought of it.

Your Mom should contact her local VFW or American Legion (or both). Then I'd have her contact Fox news and her local television station community involvment representative (like & on your side, etc). I suspect the heat they could generate would fix the issue quickly.

We fly ours every single day there is no threat of bad weather. In fact, back a few years when we were showing people pictures of the home we were going to move to, a couple of them commented on the nice big flagpole out on our front lawn. :-)

As a side note, when I moved back into a newly-renovated office building in my job back in 1994, we were at first told we could have nothing showing over our cubicle walls, a "rule" that was naturally ignored by just about everybody. Guess what *I* stuck up there first... yup, a little flag, just like our fellow Americans on that so-important Pacific island...

Must be Amurrica, coz in Russkieland you HAD to fly the flag every day, or else the men in the coats and hats would visit you in the small hours... And if the easily offended minority don't like living in a country where the Stars and Stripes are flown, maybe they should just bugger off to wherever they came from. (Just don't send 'em here...) It's not an issue that you and your father are vets (not for this bit, anyway), but surely, if a patriotic citizen of a country wants to fly that country's flag, in that country's territory, then s/he should be allowed to, regardless of who it

*may* offend (see above!) Like I said, anythng less is just plain wrong. Tell her I said to fly the thing, the bigger the better, and damn the torpedoes! (c:

Thanx, thank you very much.

And you right, I couldnt be more proud. Though I just lost the woman who was the true guiding light in my life, I couldnt be more proud of my two sons !! They are the most important things in this world to me know, and both are more successfull than I could have imagined. The older one (I call him Mr Pacifist) is VERY upset at his brothers choice, almost blames me for it, but at least has decided to 100% support his brother now that there is no other choice :)
