Hello. I bought one of these and was looking through the box last evening. The instructions call out, as most do, paint numbers for various parts. However, I can't seem to find the paint code anywhere on the instructions. I even looked at the decal placement guide thinking it was there but I couldn't seem to find it anywhere. Do I have a misprinted instruction sheet? Are they on a separate sheet that didn't get put in the box? Are they actually right there in front of my face and I'm just I losin' it? I think I can figure out the white and gray exterior but some of the other call-outs are a bit more unsure.

Doesn't Trumpeter use MrColor code numbers ?
Bill,
No you did not get a partial direction sheet. There are NO color definitions anywhere on the directions, box, or anywhere else that I can see.
As someone else pointed out, the color references are indeed for Gunze paints. As near as I can see, the white box colors are for the Acrylics and the black boxes are the lacquer Mr. Color.
I am in the middle of this one too, so here is my list of all the colors called out on the directions and their equivalent Mr. Color description.
H Color
8 Silver 33 Flat Black 44 Tan Brown 54 Flat Khaki Green 61 Burnt Iron 137 Tire Black 315 Lt. Gull Gray 316 Insig. White 317 Gray 36231 327 Insig. Red 329 Yellow 13538The Gunze Lacquers are by far the best paint I have ever used. Is a shame they don't get imported into the US. I suspect our rather stringent EPA prohibits anyone from importing them commercially.
Hope this helps.
Norm
Hi Norm. Whew! I feel better. I thought I was having some sort of mental block that was not allowing me to see the color chart :-). Thanks for the translation of the instruction color call-outs into something I can actually use.
