Seems like the RMB and Delete option is broken. I recall having the same issue with 2001 releases as well.

RMB one of the ordinate dimension and take properties.....don't think You can make a choise before inserting the dims

Confirmed on SP2.1 also. Used to be a problem in most dialog boxes. I'll turn it in to the VAR.
