Parking fee at LDRS?

I hear you, I guess this LDRS is a huge disappointment. They have a lousy waiver and high fees. Now, if it were a METRA hosted LDRS I would not be complaining. Needless to say, I will not be flying at this LDRS. I will save my money for the real launch, BALLS.

As a prospective vendor who bailed on being there with a major booth (CTI also bailed), I can say the negative energy and comments from folks on several internet venues (not just rmr) that the vendors would be ignored was a drag.

Vendors do not expect much but they expect "positive energy" from incurring the HUGE COSTS of a week long show appearance.

TRADE SHOWS often are only 1or 2 days. Short ones too. And they are a target rich environment.

Did Metra put in a bid for LDRS? The only two bids I know of were BRS and Tripoli Las Vegas. Tripoli doesn't just choose a club at random to host LDRS.

Tripoli moves LDRS around geographically if you haven't noticed.

My guess is that Geneseo was choosen over Las Vegas because LDRS had not been on the East Coast for four years.

I will also be at BALLS, but the two launches attract different crowds.

Certainly, but POTROCS underestimated the number of spectators. Had they ordered enough portapotties and dumpsters, it would have cost somebody more money, either the flyers or a spectator fee.

Has Cesaroni ever had their own booth at LDRS?

In 2000, Blacksky's booth had Pro38 on display, as Blacksky was the US distributor to start. I have no idea about 2001. 2002 no booth that I recall but Mike from Cesaroni was there as a rep to help with Hypertek. I don't remember a Cesaroni booth in 2003 either.

You need to go to a misfire alley, not torture rack, launch.

Look at it this way. If there was an expectation of consumers swarming booths and BUYING, no vendor could afford to NOT attend.

I disagree. I think LDRS is essentially always uplifting for TRA members. It is after all, a social experience as much or more than a rocket experience.
