Well now, I don't live in Cincinnati and I have no idea what any of those 5 things are. My only association is with machine tools that had that word cast in in large letters. Keith Make friends in the hobby. Keith Visit Garratt photos for the big steam lovers.

We just watched "Max" last night - you might find it interesting.

The Versailles Treaty was responsible for a lot of problems - the victors putting ALL the blame on the Germans and very self-righteously so, was pretty sick and was great propaganda for anti-democratic forces in Germany.

Looking at the propaganda around the "rape of poor Belgium" (Huns tossing babies in the air to skewer them on their bayonets - resurrected by ace liars Hill & Knowlton a decade ago at the behest of the Kuwaiti rulers) in light of what the Belgians did in the Congo is a real lesson.

Anyway, silly gits that eat french fries with mayonnaise and worse yet make froot loop pop and call it beer deserve to have their farts, er, forts, blown up.

Huhh? Is Neihi an Indian donkey?

Nice! - good source of iron.

Anything my cats eat is "catfood".

Mice and rats are free - not sure what they're actually filled with but the cats seem to thrive. The cats still demand that I feed them, but I think that is just to ensure that I don't lose the training they've perfected over the years.

"Griddle"? Tuna flavoured crumpets? Yuck.

Right you are, Jay me lad. I was among the great mass who thought that "English - or British - Cooking" (yes, I know the difference between British and English, let's not start another flame war) was a contradiction in terms, while I worshipped at the feet of the great Bocuse, et al.

Slowly, slowly, I have come around. I find myself more and more leaning towards cooking that is not seen as a work of art, rather part of the natural joy of living. Italian food is, unfortunately, going the way of French cooking - if you use ham, it MUST be prosciuto, etc. Nope. Give me Greek and British cooking any day. Or regional Italian, served by a large plump lady in a black dress in a cafe in Naples or anywhere in Tuscany or points south.

Hmmm. Time to cook some Pastitsou, I think... :)

Perhaps they are not personally guilty for those crimes. However, there IS a movement in Germany that denies the holocaust happened, and today's Germans ARE guilty of that.

I suppose you think we should have left the Taliban alone to continue harboring terrorists, and destroying world famous cultural landmarks in the name of religion? We should have left Saddam Hussein alone to continue murdering his own people to the tune of thousands a year?

Perhaps Ossama's goons will pay New Zealand a visit; then we'll watch your tune.

So the several mass murders in England and Australia ARE statistically more meaningful. Thanks!

Yes, including the F I got on the test because I couldn't remember most of the terminology even though I understood the methods perfectly.

This seemed to be pointing at what I wrote in regards to my definition of elitism - i.e., not so much a special interest clique, but when a special interest clique claims to be "real model railroaders" and by inference, everyone else is not. Having an opinion doesn't exclude anyone, it's just an opinion.

Well I hope that's not coming from me. I pretty much said my part, it was opinion as much as anything else even if it didn't fit the format :-)

I don't know how far back Cincinnati Machine/Milacron goes, but probably not as far back as the Reds, who are playing their 135th year of professional baseball. Professional in that they get paid a lot, not that they are good.....

Actually among those associations, WKRP is #1. First thing out of somebody's mouth if you say you are from Cincinnati. Unfortunately WKRP is not in Cincinnati, nor was it ever... it was always in Hollywood.

Better use the hot water. Tea tends to stain the cat when you wash it. Neihi is a coke product in NY....probably spelled wrong.

I can give you some Sicilian peasant recipes. Very cheap to make.

WKRP could've been anywhere.

I think Herb Tarlek once worked at my company, bad suits and all.

I have never made a Sicilean peasant. Is that anything like an *nglish strumpet err crumpet?

Only by a VERY narrow margin. The nationwide popular vote (which counts for jack) had Gore ahead, I believe.

No need to rehash this yet again. Just correct if I'm wrong.

I like prosciutto, but my favorite pasta sauce (julienned ham, minced skin of a small dried hot red pepper [stem, seeds and ribs removed], zest of one lemon, pint of half and half - saute ham with pepper flakes, add half and half and most of the lemon zest, thicken, add linguini cooked almost al dente, cook a couple minutes more in the sauce; garnish with remaining threads of lemon peel) works better with some nice smoked ham.

Is that the "Grape knee high" that Radar used to drink on the TV programme "Mash"?

I've found our cats to be fairly stain resistant, particularly with the natural products generally found around our place.
