You have to be approved by the existing members or there has to be a "catagory" of member not already represented. There are already THREE "associations". TRA, NAR and HPRMADA which is ONE GUY who refuses applications for members from manufacturers and dealers.

HPRMADA = High Power Rocketry Manufacturer's And Dealers Association. Ever heard of it before? Most manufacturers and dealers have not :)

None of them are on the rocket caucus or on the pyro specific committee.

No way to be sure until someone tries. Has ARSA or any other organization tried to get a seat on the NFPA? And what about certifying authorities? Has any other group asked for recognition as a certifying authority?

Until someone tries these things and is rejected, it's premature (at best) to claim there is a "stranglehold".

Fire Marshal

He counts as ONE.

He counts but keep in mind rockets are banned entirely from LA. And fireworks have the most restrictive access methods in CA.

Note no alternate. This guy is a one man show to increase the TRA voting block by one seat. Inertia. It has been that way for many years.

J350 lover :) Head Keystone Cop!

Building code guy?

U.S. Rockets was refused a seat by the NFPA liason for "sport rocketry".

CAR

No others have risen to the occasion and IAR and IEAS both seem to have a hands off policy despite offers to fully fund and equip any such effort.

MDRA claims to have the capability but they have direct ties with TRA so that would be "unhelpful".

You miss the point. Being a Canadian manufacturer, they wouldn't need a permit from the BATFE... But TRA regs require it.

I hope it was clear that I never meant to imply anything different than you folks being in full compliance with the law. Just that it would be absurd to require you to have an LEMP.

Ssorry about that. I dis a web search and found it both ways. We'll add your name to Brant Stine Arcas et al.
